Community Residential Facilities are ex-offender halfway houses, also known as reentry houses or transitional housing. These are residential facilities that provide a supportive living environment for youth who are returning to the community after being released from incarceration. These houses are designed to help individuals make a successful transition back into society and reduce the risk of recidivism (re-offending).

Ex-offender halfway houses typically offer a range of services to residents, including:

  • A sober, drug-free environment

  • Structured daily routines and activities

  • Support and guidance from staff and peer mentors

  • Assistance with finding employment and housing

  • Access to recovery resources and support services

  • Case management and other supportive services

The goal of ex-offender halfway houses is to provide a safe and supportive environment in which individuals can work towards rebuilding their lives and becoming self-sufficient.
